Saturday's AX - get your aloha on!

Postby shsteiner on Sun Jul 09, 2006 9:49 am

For those of you who missed this in the announcements forum, this Saturday's AX has a tropical theme. Bring on your best tropical gear - loud hawaiian shirts, polyester muu-muus, or coconut bras and grass skirts, the possibilities (and laughs) are endless. We'll have prizes and tropical drinks will flow. Mahalo!

Yes it is, thanks for noticing.

I'm just bummed that we didn't have a "themed" 4th of July autocross. I was all ready for it! Maybe I'll wear this saturday, or will it be too masculine?

Curt - it's a lovely ensemble, but the theme is tropical, not the Tropicana.

That being said, that would be a *lovely* start/finish flag...

LOL :D

There have always been tropical drinks at the autocross..... Corona, Pacifico, Dos Equis etc  :D

First the BMWCCA joins us for an autocross and beats up on all the Porsches. Now the Bimmer guys are gonna drive by on Saturday to scout us for the next combined PCA/BMW event and see Tom Tweed, Steve Grosekemper, Dan Chambers, Steve Dente and Jad wearing coconut bras, grass skirts and drinking pink umbrella drinks? Sure that's intimidating, but in the WRONG way! :D

Can't we just get the respective drivers wives to dress to theme instead?
Thanks Curt, it will be days before I get that vision out of my head!

I gotta hip you guys to this really cool new invention. It's called a Search Engine. Now I know Dan A. was searching his car to see if it even had an engine after the Buttonwillow event, but this is different. Check out the ammunition that can be found for future forum use just by typing "Liberace pictures" into Google. You do know what Google is right? Now obviously the first picture in this thread is scanned from my drivers license, but the other one wasn't on my hard drive a few hours ago.

I have *got* to read these forums more often. Announcing will be so much more fun knowing I can now refer to Curt as "Liberace Simmons in the Barbie Dream Mobile". Any more scoop before Saturday? :D
