The Registrars/Timing is one of the hardest working groups at the A-X's. If you want to see what controlled chaos is, go to the trailer during Timed Runs. On any given second-of-the-clock you've got:

-Radio-talk/sqwawk blaring in knocked-over cones, silly comments, and track conditions
-Start/Finish waiting to start the next car
- Cars stacking up in pre-grid; their numbers must be entered- and in the right sequence - before they can head out
- Noise from the pits
- 91.5 Db loud cars pulling out right next to them
- Drivers running up to the Trailer wanting to know: "What's my best time.... what's so-and-so's Best Time? Who's in Green run-group? Did I miss my practice laps? Who's on Corner 1 - their radio's not working?"
- Spotters in the Trailer wondering: "Is that a piece of tape in the shape if a "5" or did someone spill a Coke down the side of the car?"
-Stephanie's lucid and hillarious play-by-play on the mic
- Someone walking in front of the Timing Lights :nono:
- Someone running over the Timing Lights
-Spin-outs: Back in Order? If not - Re-runs :banghead:
- Computer crashing
- Sun in the Timing Lights

All this and more happening simultaineously. :bigcry:

So, Hat's Off to the Timing and Timing/Registration people. They Bust Their Booty so we can have our 2-seconds of fame and our 39-Cent Ribbons. We who are about to Drive, Salute You!

It never bothered Lewis, but that was another time...

Is the rule still in effect, bother the timing crew, get 2 seconds a word added to your time

Dan,

I'm looking for 5 or 6 Barbies for my dash before I run again. Or does it look like rain this weekend, how about to much heat, or I have to save my tires for the Portland Parade? Other wise I would smoke the AM class like a cheap cigar :)

Have fun Saturday, if you drive.

I have it on good authority that John has a picture of Eric K. on his dash with a red circle and a line through it. Look out Eric the shark is circling.
