Who do I ask ? I have something to offer

Postby Brad Roberts on Thu Jul 13, 2006 6:00 pm

OK. Some of you know and some of you dont know.. I own/help run the largest website (members wise) for 914's on the planet. We have over 6k members worldwide and hold our own events nationwide since Dec. 2002.

Here is what I have: We made some killer grill badges for the 914 people and I wanted to share them here with the SD PCA people. This is my "new" home region (I was in Redwood+GGR+Loma Prieta prior)and I'm trying to learn everyone in SD as fast as I can. I dont want to make mistakes with you guy's, so I ask a lot of questions :)

I dont expect 911/944/968/924/356/996/986/987/997/TT/GT3/GT2 people to uy them, but I would like to offer them to the SD PCA people if someone can give me permission. They are VERY high quality and they have a HI cool factor about them. I wont post pricing until somebody gives me the GO/NO GO sign.

Thank you.

Let me know what you think! Even if you dont allow me to push them here. I would like to hear some feedback.

Brad:

Might I suggest you approach The Goodie Store folks (the Samads) first, about possibly coordinating an agreement through them? In essence you would be the MFG'er, and the Goodie Store the Vendor?

Or, how 'bout placing an ad in the classifieds for the website/witness? There are "Parts" and "Miscellaneous" sections where this type of item might sell fairly well.

Or, get a hold of a Board Member and discuss the possibility of "vending" them at our different event, with approval from the Board? These would probably be the most appropriate routes to take for distribution of a "product."

They're nice. If I had a 914, I might get one ...... What about a 944 badge? (Just put 5-circles, linear-intertwined, behind the Porsche badge, and you've got a template   )

Good luck!

Thanks Dan!

I'm already working with Gary Samad on his new Boxster Racing BBS/Forum, so I'll ask him about this also.

Zone7 past presidents worked with me on all sorts of business related topics. Hopefully I can work with Zone8 the same way.

Hows about offering them in the 914 sections of Pelican, Rennlist.. ect. I'm sure there are many other sites you could find.

The badges could be made with the PCASDR logo for the goodie store or year end class winners in autox or TT.

Dan could buy one and show his OC buddies how fast he is - oops did I just say that out loud?
