In-car video, Kinninger 911, 8/17 auto cross

Here's a fun video of my best lap in timed runs. That was a really fun track, and it was great to see the club and associated volunteers run the (sold out event) so smoothly

Thanks Ian! Yes, it is a go-pro. Mounted on the roll Bar. Usually I attach it to the side of my helmet. But this gives a little better perspective of everything going on in the car.

I have been looking at them recently , after watching youtube videos and seeing guys karting with them on their helmets ,and they look a neat little thing ...

Are they easy enough to use ?
The go-pro website makesit all seem a little to complicated to a Neanderthal like me

Ian, yes. Very easy to use, the camera only has two buttons to control each mode/setting. Here's a quick video from a past autocross with the camera on my helmet, so you can see the difference.

Ill order one next week and I can get used to it by videoing my drive to work .
I don't wear a helmet to work normally , but i will give it a go ... What's the worse can happen ...

Do you use the go pro cage mount ?
Or is their a better aftermarket mount to get ?

Ian, I just used the stock go-pro roll bar mount and it worked great!

Erik, thanks for the educational video. Impressive. Oh, I have an older Go Pro that uses the "spot meter" setting to adjust the brightness and contrast when filming from inside a darker setting. Basically senses a distant point for light meter balancing. For me seems to even out the brightness for the entire frame.
Thanks again!
