Is the tire shop at Buttonwilow usually open on the weekends when we're there?
Anybody know what the 944 spec tires will be for next year? Same as this year?

Generally yes, it should be open at least part of the weekend.

Robert answered you, but in addition, they usually will have the correct tires in stock. Call them to confirm.
Spec tires are the same for 2014:
Toyo RR 225/50-15 or Rain Tire - Toyo RA1 in same size.
