Gooey buttons

Postby Jad on Mon Nov 04, 2013 12:24 pm

FYI, the radio knobs on my 997 started getting gooey and sticky, and I know of several other high end cars with this issue. Did a little research and there are companies that fix it, but I also saw a lot of people had good luck just popping them off, and cleaning them with Simple Green. Just tried it and it worked great. Don't know how long it will last, but they look good right now, the white markings look new and it took maybe 5 minutes. I would happily do that every few month if it comes back to avoid the goo on the knobs.
