Let's say the Tesla forum isn't impressed except that Porsche is trying. Slower, smaller and less practical than CURRENT Tesla expected by the end of the decade? A great sign of the future, but saying they solved the cg thing by brilliantly placing the battery along the floor (like Tesla did 4 years ago), stating continuous lapping unlike other EV's (hmm, what EV's are being raced?) and bragging about the charging at 800V, (yet there are no chargers that support this and any battery can be charged at that rate, but the life cycle is GREATLY reduced) are jabs at Tesla limitations more than anything.
Looks like someone in Porsche realized they need to get going and put real resources into fighting Tesla, which puts them ahead of most other manufacturers. I look forward to Porsche tech really pushing the EV envelope. If Tesla can make a 5-7 passenger sedan do 0-60 in 2.8 seconds, Porsche should be able to do amazing things with their skills if they are allowed to build a car 'better' than the 911. History shows they won't.
By ~2025 the big 3 automakers are looking to be Tesla, Apple and Google as the current manufacturers are too stuck in the old ways. (Kodak, Nokia, Typewriters, Blockbuster, Taxis, etc, etc) Exciting time to watch automotive evolution...
