Timing will be running but not recorded (ie no awards or points).
Years ago at this event it was pouring down rain, there were inches of standing water in places. So, Jerry and I climbed into my Suburban for a couple laps, laughing like hyenas with the stereo blasting. Much to our surprise my first lap was pretty fast (I had the only vehicle heavy enough to avoid hydroplaning and with little grip available in the wet it actually handled fine instead of wallowing like the barge it is). On the second lap I tried hard to put down a fast clean run and managed to set the fourth fastest time of the day
The funniest part was seeing the corner workers scatter every time I went by, the barge was throwing quite a wake!

Some of the newer participants may wonder what the "Other Car" AX is referring to.
This is a non points paying "just for fun" AX where it's OK - encouraged even - to run a non Porsche. Maybe you have another cool car that you would like to try out on the track, so bring out that Ferrari, Lambo, WRX, NASCAR racer, hot rodded Audi wagon ....or .......uh....Camry.
As long as it passes tech, you can run it.

So, just like any other AX? ;)

In the spirit of the Other Car AX, a few years back Craig and I decided to who might triumph and earn bragging rights, so we went Wagon-to-Wagon . Well, more like Wagon-to-Wallowmobile... Turns out Subi high clearance and back road capability isn't much of a match to Audi Autobahan cruiser engineering in an AX event. Craig said I had an unfair advantage and should have taken aero points for the big wing I was running...

And before Craig posts up, strangely I don't have any pictures of the next year when he showed in an Avant A4 S-line with stickier tires. I don't think we need to talk about those results...

Keith you might be unaware of the "Thule effect", an obscure but scientifically established phenomenon that just might explain the advantage Craig had.
