You're going to have to draw me a picture (in crayon) for me to "get" what that means.
Yah- keep accurate times for everybody AND count penalty cones. There's really no way of knowing whether a run was clean or not the way we did it that day. Cornerworkers were not keeping track of who hit cones and no one was announcing them, so looking at the clock alone when someone crossed the line was futile, without any way to tell if their run was clean, or if they straight-lined the slalom, etc.kurquhart wrote:Maybe we can do it again some time, but keep accurate times for the top 10?
No worries, Curt. I've been to two or three of their autocrosses in the last few years with my AM 911 and beat all the BMWs every time.Curt wrote:Well then, it's a good thing we didn't post results, because it sounds like the BMW boys came to town and put a whoopin' on the Porsche owners at our own autocross.

I haven't sold it yet, Curt, I just quit time-trialing it the season before last, so you haven't seen it lately. I have run it in 4 autocrosses this year, getting my a$$ handed to me by the Kinninger car, not to mention John Straub, who has gotten his 914-6 going very well this year. I haven't been running slicks on it anymore, though, for cost reasons, so it is not as fast as it was, but it's still a top-10 car pretty consistently, even with the uprated competition this year.Curt wrote:Dang Tom, it's too bad you sold that AM car.
