PCA SDR

Got a flyer today from Tire Rack about the new Avon Tech R tire. Tread wear rating of 40 with Traction B and Temperature C. They come in 14" to 17" diameters. I do not have any other information though.

Kary, I was asking about these tires several months ago. I have yet to find someone on the the net that has tried them?

Since they are a 40 treadwear tire, they are going to have to be as fast as Hoosiers, longer wearing, or a lot cheaper to get anyone to run them under our current autox/TT rules.

I am curious about these tires as well. Avon makes great tires and I know some guys that swear by their slicks. As far as pricing, they are about $30 less than the Hoosier so they would have to be really close in performance (or, like you said, wear) to sway anyone to a unknown tire.
