I remember PCA met at Silver Strand for the 2004 event. In my opinion, we should do the same thing again! How did we get passes to park inside the fest again I forgot? If anyone needs help in the organization, I'd be glad to offer support! :D

8) Andy, count me in! The marina on the strand sounds like an excellent meet and greet spot.

Even if SDR this time decides not to have a get together at the spot, we could always have a small meet up there. I think the only thing we probably wouldn't have would be the refreshments again. I'm going to check the web and see what the prices are for tarmac parking again.

Here is the website for any additional info if someone wants to know more. It looks like car clubs are invited again this year.

BTW, if anyone has any updates on whether or not SDR will have an official meeting spot, post here! :D

I would guess that there will not be an official PCASDR event for the Coronado Historics this year. There is nothing on the schedule for it, at least.

I see the driving school on there. Now that's why!!!! :banghead: .

Oh well, anyone not doing the driving school is welcome to meet up with my band of hooligans and me at Silver Strand, the same spot where we were last year

Alyson Kelly has several passes that she will be passing out to club members. For information, contact Alyson at social@pcasdr.org.

Thanks to Paul Hastings for getting these passes!! :D

excellent! I wonder if there's a limit on passes. I have some friends from Rennlist and Pelican that are also PCA members (don't post on the SDR board though) that are interested in going too!

I'm going to make some updates to my thread in the announcements forum if anyone is interested in getting together and cruising up Silver Strand to the Coronado Speed Fest on Sunday :D

Speed Festival

Postby wcarson on Thu Sep 29, 2005 9:22 pm

Hello,
I am also very interested in going to the event and putting my car on display in the corral area........ does anyone have any idea how to get a corral pass? I was very upset last year when I ignorantly drove down there in my 930 and was told by the security guys that I needed to have obtained a corral pass in advance.
Does anyone know who obtained the passes last year for the PCA? Any input or thoughts would be very helpful. I guess I can always turn to other car clubs (Ferrari, BMW, etc) to see if they have any extra corral passes if no PCA passes are available. It would sad if Porsche makes no showing at this truly awesome event.
Any advice would be appreciated- Thanks in advance-

Corral Passes

I think one of the social chairs is handling it this year. Paul Hastings had received the passes but is not able to distribute them all.

When is everyone going?

I usually go on Saturday and watch all the groups do their practice laps. Is everyone going on Saturday or Sunday?

weird, my email carrier is saying that social@pcasdr.org is non-existant and keeps failing to deliver.

EDIT:

Hey guys I updated my thread in the Announcements forum with an attendance roster. If you would like to go, feel free to reply to it or PM me so that I can update the attendance sheet. I hope I can get a hold of the Alyson to see if I can get those passes still. I'm not sure if the email is down or not :banghead:
