Passing of Ernst Beutler

Very few Porschephiles know of the Beutler Brothers, but they were instrumental in the early days of Porsche. The first Cabriolet bodies were built by Gebruder Beutler in 1949. In fact the second oldest Porsche is a Beutler Cabriolet (chassis No. 356-003). The sales of those six Cabriolets helped get Porsche off of the ground financially.
Ernst Beutler passed away Sept 30th, one day short of his 90th birthday. He was the last of those associated with the early days of Porsche.
