I know of one place in this area that "semi" stocks competition tires (Discount tire on Genessee)

Any other leads? I'm dying here. Picked up a car last night and I need some sticky tires for the AutoX.

I dont care if I have travel to get them.. just need some leads on a store that carry's 17's in stock.

Help me. :) please

This is what I planned:

1. Left SD on flight at 2:30pm Thursday
2. Buy car last night in San Jose at 6pm.
3. Had dinner with a friend and left his house at 9:45pm
4. Arrived in SD at 4:45am this morning with car.
5. Started calling around today for tires.

I'll run it on the stock Kumho's

Help me..LOL

Then run the car on Sat.

Bear's Tires 858-453-2999

Falken Azenis RT-615, usually stock them for us racers. Better than nearly any OE tire.

I will call them. I have ran the Falkens for 3+ years now on other cars. I like them. They work VERY well.

They didnt have any 17's :(

I never thought I would "miss" a tire store.

I now miss having Roger Krause Racing within driving distance from my house. They stock all of this.. and slicks. They are the NorCal Goodyear racing tire distributor. I would have *assumed* there would be someone down here who stocked some racing tires.

I know what "ass-u-me" means now. It is VERY clear :)

Pretty sad the 7th largest city in the US and we don't have a retailer for this stuff anywhere near us...

There was a guy out in El Cajon that I've picked up RA-1's from in the past (referred by Mike G.). The Tire Stop, or The Tire Shop, something like that (out the 8, last exit before the 167, turn right about a block down on the left). Jae Lee sometimes buys V710's in bulk. Usually 18's, but may have some 17's. Glenn Uslan (from POC) is a Toyo distributor, but he's up in L.A.

However, all that said, if you need someone to beat the cr@p out of your new Spec car on street tires I'd be happy to lend a helping hand ;).

I stock Pirelli slicks but there is no money in it, just nice to have service for customers.

Brad,

Ask for Eddie at Bears Tires and tell him you are a Porsche Club member. It should help you on the price.

Good Luck!
