Just wanted to post a link to a video I took with a lipstick camera taped to the roof while at Pahrump. Its compressed quite a bit but ok quality. Enjoy!

Nice video footage. What kind of lipstick camera was that? Was it just plugged into a camcorder mounted in the car?

Nice video and I like how you downloaded it in slow motion so we really could see the line, but it took sooooo long for you to complete each lap, I almost fell asleep

Nice video Dan,
Nice line as well...
But how much did you have to pay all those other drivers to drive at 7/10's? :roflmao:

Thanks a lot guys!.. The camera is a 480 line sony Helmet cam, it plugs directly into my sony HC30 which is mounted inside on the roll cage.

Captain Neptune: Slow motion? What was your best time on this track?

It didn't cost as much as you think Steve... I guess I could have run in Red instead of Orange to test the camera, but what fun would that be with you running a 1:46...

I swear that Steve just gave Dan a compliment. No that can't be true, I must be dreaming.

It was a very cool video, and it was a nice line...
Of course at that geriatric speed how could it be anything else!

I'm back!

Very Nice, Dan. 8) I had the sensation of actually being there. I could even hear the engine in the background, below the music ... or was that you "huffing and weezing"?

Seriously, nice driving! Those right-hand, left-hand sweepers look lonnnngggg! That's gotta eat some tire!

www.ChaseCam.com , company is local here in San Diego...we've had a lot of experience using their products, mostly with SCCA and BMWCCA ('cause my car keeps blowing up!). Check it out, very inexpensive but high quality stuff.

My best time is always just a little better than yours on any given day

I also like how you mount the camera on the roof, so we don't really know who was driving - hired gun maybe, just to make you look good on the video - how sad :(

Nice retort Capt. However, your given days at TT's may have just run out...
Hired Gun? After doing the suspension on my car I couldn't afford a hired gun... See you at the next TT...

Dan cool video, can you give us some details on your camera set up?
I understand it is a DV camera in a foam box with a remote lipstick camera?
Which lipstick camera, got an internet link to it?
thanks.
