PCA logbook

Postby kurquhart on Wed Oct 19, 2005 10:26 pm

Sometimes when reading classifieds I see references to a "PCA logbook" in the ad for a used Porsche.

What exactly is a PCA logbook? Should I be keeping one for my new Porsche?

A PCA logbook is used by PCA National Stewards for Club Racing technical inspections. Not used for any other events, at least not yet. If you decide to Club Race your car you will be issued a logbook at your first race. If you are thinking about buying a Race Car it is a good idea to get one with a logbook as it means it has already been through the initial tech inspection, saving you the time and money of making sure the car is really race ready (not just claimed to be race ready).
