Hey, Jad, I noticed in your signature you have a 996 targa. I did not know you had that car. How do you like it? Family car? :)

It is very nice. The Boxster did not work for the 3 of us, so we had to get a practical car, ie a 996. At first we were going to get a cab, but with the baby, the Targa made more sense. It actually has the biggest back seat of any 996 and offers better protection from sun and wind. Not quite as fun as a cab, but a little lighter and much quieter.

We are really enjoying it, and in a strange way, it gets driven more than any other car we have owned. Hard to explain, but it is less of a weekend car and more of an any time you can car. Like the Porsche ads say, every nano-second spent parked, is a nano-second missed driving.

Jad, I must say that is quite a family car :) I did not realize that the targa had so much more room in the rear seating area as compared to the other models. Learn something new everyday!

I wouldn't exactly call the back seat limo like, but 1-2 cubic feet help in an area that small. The baby seat does definitely fit, both front and rear facing-though it does cut down on front seat passenger space.

Plus the real reason I had to get it, targa's are the only Porsche made with a hatchback, and you know how I like the water cooled hatchbacks!
