My 84 Carrera is up for grabs. The short list is 3.6 with 284 hp to the wheels.915 trans with LSD and factory cooler.2450 lbs.8 and 10 inch Kinesis and much more.So easy to drive a 16 year old can get TTOD.Ready to run DE or auto-X. Has factory injection and is smog legal. Great occasional street car.
Also building a 90 964 to run KP.(the poor mans RSA).The car will be 200lbs lighter, make 270 hp to wheels, have a LSD and more. One of the two cars will go.The 84 will be running the events this weekend.

Pages 9 and 14 in the October Witness has some good pics of the car along with some coverage on my son schooling me in my own car.I should add that it was not his first auto-x,just his first time in my car and fourth auto-x.So there. It took him four events to catch up to my 20 years of experience. Not just one.
The price would fall in to the no-bargain catigory however I should say this. The motor and trans has less than 3k miles. The motor was done from the crank up with ARP rod bolts,993 head studs,
custom cams and more.Cost to duplicate the motor and trans alone would be close to 30k.Suspension is 22 and 30 mm torsion bars, custom valved shocks, raised spindle front struts and 22mm sway bars.Brakes are orig Carrera with 930 master and additional cooling.A B+B front cooler keeps the oil cool for DE or time trial. The car has done about a dozen auto-x's and one DE day since built.A weld-in roll bar fits very nicely. This is on a no-accidents chassis.
That said the price is $36k.I try to build my cars like it is the last one my wife will tolerate and make each one a little better than the last.
Also there is the price on the 964.It looks like the range should be $16 to $20k depending on how equipped. It is a black no accidents coupe. My # is (619)593-4053

Oh Ya, I wasn't there that day!

Steve,
Think back to the August auto-x. Something about bad tires and your car on the trailer early.

Oh, ya
That would have been my daughter's 21 birthday I had to leave early for.
Still didn't run for time did I?
We'll see just how TTOD you are Saturday.

Hey, maybe you should hire Eric to drive to make the car look a little better, and get that TTOD you are claiming to own!
:roflmao:

Nice car BTW, It'll make someone a nice track/street car.
Those wheels would look much better on my car though!

The '84 Carrera got several top tens when I owned it. Of course it is now a lot faster & Mark is a better driver than I was. It seems everybody has got faster except me....javascript:emoticon(':(')

Don't fool yourself Kenyon,

It's mostly the cars. Look back at what the top 10 ten consisted of then and now. It is a battle of who can stuff the biggest motor in the lightest car with the biggest tires. (or 2 outa 3) And then there is James who can just drive better than all the rest of us...

I'm already preparing my excuses...

That is one nice car! Sorry to hear you have to get rid of it. I'd like to see that bad *** 964 when you're all done with it! It's going to be the next TTOD car
