Gee, you watch that video and wonder how an amatuer in a 996 twin turbo could possibly get into trouble and go flying over the cliff in a similar rally
This may be one of the rare instances where all our lawsuits were actually for our own good

Great vid, John. Reminds me of a typical track layout/driving experience Gary gives us at the A-X's .
I really like the "nod-snap" of the driver's head every time he up-shifts ..... just like a 944!
(Man, I gotta drink decaf........ I'm beginning to hallucinate!)

Yikes, you can almost feel the power of that puppy. I have mucho respect for hillclimb and rally drivers. What a choice if/when you make a big mistake. A granite wall or a looooong off with a bad landing.
Here's a link to a monster off in a New Zealand rally by a TT:
I also have great respect for the guys that do these hill climbs. I respect their driving talents, but question their sanity Of course, we have a local version called Mt. Palomar where on any given week-end you can see the fast and the foolish.

Brought back memories of the La Carrera Panamericana. Great stuff! Thanks for sharing.

Little wonder that we prefer to watch road racing over NASCAR.

Hey, lets get all the NASCAR guys, put them at the start of a nice rally and say GO!, let them do their "rubbin is racin" with each other around those curbs and cliffs
Then I will be watching NASCAR

Nice trip up Mount Palomar. I wonder how he got them to close the road for him?
