Autocross Bumpercam

I've been wanting to do an autocross bumpercam for a while, because it seems like it would be a good perspective on the cones.

I wish I could say it was a winning run, but at +0.93s, this was good for 4th out of 4 in KP. Maybe a good chance for critique.

The camera mounts on the right of the bumper, so it makes it look like you miss everything on the left. I think it came out pretty good though. Have to try it again. The mpeg is 18MB, so dialup's may want to stay away:

Nice video Bob,

I have to get one of these bumper cams, but there must be a way to install a mic in the engine compartment. It would make the experience perfect just like the movie "C'etait un rendez-vous"

No worries your line looks great and you are fast enough for me  But now that I am thinking about it at the last event a 968 and a 951 beat us 911's in KP. :? They must have helium in their tires

This reminds me, I wish I had a camera in Steve G. 914/6 at the DE it was a real fun ride and it kept a smile on my face for a week.

Bob

Great video. The bumper cam gives a real perspective on the speed.
Nice track too.

Martin, my JVC camera records sound from the camera when using the lipstick, so it just depends on the specific model of camera you use as to whether you get sound or not. My Samsung camera will not accept the analog input of the lipstick camera at all, only a digital input.
