I know a bunch of you link directly to the Forum. Please take a moment to check out the new design at
www.pcasdr.org thanks to the efforts of John Greer and his staff of volunteers at the La Jolla Group. To see more of their work -

You might find a few glitches here and there on our new site, we'll catch up to them all as soon as possible!

The new site looks great!!! I like the clean design.
But, as you mentioned there are glitches. I found the club race page is outdated; it should show
http://www.pca.org/zone8/Z8SF/SpeedFest06-flyerLG.jpg. Incorrect event locations for TT, photos and the old results are gone

I agree - the new look is great. One glitch I noticed is that the classifieds are not accessible, not a great thing for anyone who paid for an ad this month.

I couldn't get to it this morning, and I get another "cannot find the server" message now, so they must be working on it again?

Was it up at mid-day or something?
Same result with
http://www.ljg.com/ just now- "The page cannot be displayed."

I had a similar issue first time, then I cleared the browser cache and press "reload page" on the browser and it worked with Safari and Mozilla.

Another glitch is in the Schedule. None of the event links work.
Is it possible to put the old website back up until the bugs are worked out of the new one and everything is functional? Many people depend on the website for up-to-date event info, photos, etc.

I really apologize for the "teething pains".
I just fixed a few of the issues, saw I couldn't a few others and traded emails with the developer who will be working on it asap too.
He has the driving event schedules as a priority!

OK, thanks, Martin! I started Mozilla, cleared the cache, and was able to get onto the new site this morning. It looks pretty, but requires the Flash plugin to be fully functional. How does that effect the loading speed for dialup users? I am on broadband so it's no big deal.
I have to agree with Paul and Rick, however, that the content is far from complete and functional at this point, and much (most!) relevant information that I need is missing. It is like an empty shell with a nice face. A website with incorrect or incomplete information is worse than having no website at all, no matter how good it looks.

The autocross pre-paid form is incorrect, the link links to the registration form. This occurs on the autocross page and the important forms page.
Thank you!

The 2006 schedule is all incorrect, it repeats the Dec. 2005 events for every month.
Photos are completely missing.
Can we please get the bugs worked out "off-line" so we can have the info we need available?
Thanks,
Paul

I can only imagine the time and effort it took to update the web site. And, the break in troubles will be ironed out, I assume, shortly. My only problem is, it looks like the corporate Porsche web site. Are we trying to sell new Porsches with all the revolving pictures? What happened to the club's cars and event pictures that used to be featured?

WebTeam:
Looks great. Looking forward to gettin' the kinks out (although .... kinks in the road are always very fun

... and then there's the whole "kinky" thing

... but I digress ......).
Have to agree with Gary B., it's nice to see "local color" in the pic's vs. "sales" material......
Great job all!

Just a quick note to let you know that a lot of progress was made this weekend. The individual event calendars are up-to-date, as well as the coming events on the home page and the current month calendar on the schedule page. (However, the full year calendar is still wrong.) Additionally, all registration forms and event advertisements should be working from the appropriate pages (except that big full calendar page, of course). Links to the classifieds and the forum are there and working.
Work is continuing on the missing pages.....

FYI, I noticed the Zone 8 website still points to the old SDR location (
http://www.pcasdr.org/home/index.html).
