stupid tire terminology question

Postby Jad on Fri Jan 27, 2006 10:07 am

I was going to order a set of shaved Toyo's from Chapman. I can chose between "shaved @" 2/32's and 4/32's. Which leaves more rubber on the tire? Do they shave off 2/32's or shave down to 2/32??? The shaved @ is confusing me. .Just trying to clarify so I can maximize the life of the tires.

Thanks.

4/32 leaves more rubber on the tire. I buy all mine shaved to 4/32 now.

Yeah, It's always "shaved down to X/32's."
Talk to Bryan if you have any questions like that, Jad. He's really nice and friendly and sharp as hell.
