Hey guys,
What fun! Our team had a blast last Sunday at Cajon Speedway. The karts were much easier to drive than a normal racing kart,( rack and pinion steering) and not as fast, but still great fun.
Our drivers were:
Eric Kinninger
Fleming Tranberg
John Chambers
Tim Comeau
I ran the show, but Mark Kinninger filled in my weak spots and served as team observer up on the lookout post.
We finished first overall by only 17 seconds, after 4 hours of racing, 8 driver changes, and 2 fuel stops! Really exciting!
Eric Kinninger's quick driving made him the hero of the day, setting fast lap of the race for our team, AND taking the lion's share of the driving duties. Nice work, Eric!
We had a great time and really look forward to doing it again. Go to www.arriveanddrive.com for more info. They provided everything from driving gear to food and drink! Put a team together and try it.....we did! :D

Three drivers are pcasdr members racing against some talented racers who showed up with the intentions to win.
After racing our own go kart for a while I can say this event was a huge bargain! When we race our own kart the tire bill is not that much, however there is plenty of other things to spend money on.
This type of event gives lots of practice working traffic. That is as important as being able to run fast lap times.Next event I think there could be several teams from PCA for some real good times.

Count me in!

Hey Timmy,

That sounds like a blast! Count me in for the next one, whenever that is. I'd have gone to this one, but I was in LV w/family. Tried to raise some sel-sponsorship racing moolah (sp?) at the Mirage poker room, but got my tailpipe handed to me...by a monther-daughter team no less! DOH!

....and it looks so easy and fun on TV....
