So far this year we have not had one AX that has not been threatened by rain. Will we dodge the raindrops again or are we pushing our luck?

The worst of the storm is supposed to be over today (Sat.) I'm hoping for the showers to be tapering off tonight, and Sunday to be cold but clearing.
We/ve been very lucky so far.

I'm hoping also. Dodging the bullet again would be great.

For what it's worth:
I spoke with one of the A-X Chairs yesterday about a few things related to design and implementation. We went over the possiblity of slightly altering the track for "wet" conditions and a possible A-X Practice Day/Single-Lap DE, with the caveat that if it really rains hard, and ponding/flowing water is apparent, they would call the event.
Based on recent forecasts, I think the likelihood of us getting some laps in .... timed or not...... is very good.
Of course, in order to run "wet" we'll need enough participation to handle corner-working (and for crazy pallooka's like me - I'm willing to work corners more than once if it means I get to drive - how 'bout you?).
So, if you guys are as interested as I am to drive tomorrow, bring stout foul-weather gear for cornerworking, a pair of work gloves for track set-up/cornerworking/track break-down ...... AND LET'S DRIVE!!!!!
See you under the trolly tomorrow in the West Lot!

The Membership Fair is canceled for Sunday, March 12.
Look for it to be rescheduled on a sunny day!

PS-This does not impact the AX scheduled for tomorrow.
Watch for announcements by the event Chairs.

I have the foulies and the gloves. Now I have to put the real street tires back on. The tires I have on now feel like I could be in the winter olympics maybe curling. My car could be the stone, you just need to have the broom in front clearing the way.

Dan,
Count me in on the double-duty corner working if necessary.
The forecast sounds almost identical to that of 2 AXs' which went to our favour already this year. Hopefully we will dodge another bullet tomorrow. If you go by the forecast there is a 70% chance it will not rain

Current forecast on weather.com shows Sunday as only a 20% chance of rain!

Weather report from Escondido at noon Saturday - Snow flurries! Well actually about 1" of hail sticking on the ground.
I'm in for Sunday regardless - "braking" in all new rotors and pads in prep for the Speed Festival

I'm in for double duty if needed, guess I'll leave the street tires on this time.
