I see the results are already posted from Sat. http://results.pcasdr.org/event_standings.php?database=&event_date=2006-05-13 Thanks to the web team for such a quick update! :D

Jad ran a 95.71 and won the BRI!?!?!?!? What did Steve do to that engine besides the head gasket? That's a great time, Jad. I sucked all day. Nothing but problems. Hood latch kept popping open. Forgot to torque the right front wheel. Spun on my first timed run. Some days you're the windshield, and some days you're the bug.

AT least the Dente's tires were so worn out I could stay in the top 10. :D

TT

I wanted to thank SDR for letting me run with your group! I had a blast peddling the little 2.5 Boxster to the top 10. I actually went slower during the timed runs.. go figure? Hopefully I can keep the car in the top 10 for the rest of the season. Showing up next with the 710's should help out. The Hoosier road race tires don't work very well in the parking lot :D

I *think* Tribute is next on the calender for the Boxster Spec followed up by the PCA TT @ Buttonwillow.

Looking forward to the "Monday off" autoX

That was really fast for the results, thanks.

Great track. Really tough to drive well. You really had to go slow in a lot of places and be safe in order to be fast overall. Yet there were several other places where the Dente method of full gas -steer or die - was also called for  . Good job AX team!

Thanks also to Steve for cleaning up my engine and very quickly getting it back together from the head gasket issue  It does run well :D

Dan, you are kidding Steve about not showing up? When exactly was your last AX?

Brad, nice job making the top ten, but you had better keep pedaling fast as you only beat the street stock Boxsters by less than 1.5 seconds. LSS is getting to be a pretty competitive class right behind you.

That's funny Dan....
I actually meant that I hadn't noticed when test driving the car.
It was faster than my stock '86-951, but it is really hard to judge when you don't drive a car before and after...

No I didn't make it... In LA for my daughters College graduation Saturday and Mothers day Sunday... as if I had an option. Besides both my running P-cars are not equipped for DE.

I will be at BW however in something built by Porsche (Just not my 914). Life is just too short to miss that event.

Will I be seeing you there Dan??? Or is it your week to host the local AARP meeting?

Very funny oil spill boy... You'll be seeing me long enough for you to get your arm out for a point by...

In other news....Mr Curt will be there as well, it seems he is so confident in his new motor/wing/brakes that he has promised to shave his head if he loses to me...
John Riz? Didn't you warn Curt you bet me the same thing??

My '73 on Kumho V700s. They still aren't making the 245/45-16 in the V710s yet, as far as I know. I may have to get some 17s for it.

Somebody needs to step up and show Erik a thing or two...
You're welcome to try! The kid is hot. When he cleans his Dad's clock by a couple seconds a lap, beats two SCCA national champions in 500HP GT2s by a second or so with a NA 3.6 in an old Carrera, ya gotta figure the boy has somethin' going on. I know I ain't got nuthin' for him--except respect for some mad skilz I'll never have... The only way we're going to get rid of him is to get him a sponsor and a pro ride so he'll be out of town! Dente's taking up a collection. Are you in?

Yeah, but did he beat an SCCA champion twice in a 500HP turbo, with an older yet 73 with a measly 3.2?? Sorry to throw James Gunn under the bus...

If thats a NA 3.6 I may just shave my head...

You see I can talk all the smack I want as long as I don't show up...

Don't make me come down there!!

Dan,
I better have to put my arm out for you as I should be driving an IP 911SC in JP, If you and your AM car can't beat me in that car you should trade your Sparco's in for the ol' porch swing...

I really should pipe up and say that Erik did not beat James in his 500++ hp GT2.James was driving a very nicely set-up GT3 that day instead of the GT2.The good news is Erik just did a racing school and got a license to run with NASA.With any luck he will move on and stop the parking lot humiliation. The goal is to have him drive OTHER peoples cars not mine. And Dan I will bring the clippers RE the na 3.6

I'll do the best I can. I had never Autox'd a Boxster before Sat. and had only a "SDR style" AutoX once a year ago. I'm used to "Parade" style AutoX's that dont reward HP cars

Mark,

How much does the 911 weigh? Just curious what 300hp is pushing around the course.

What? I'm sorry I didnt understand that last question.I will say that my 84 has suspension engineered in the early 60's.

Oh.. I forgot.. They had torsion bars in the rear starting with the 1938 VW bug until 1989..LOL That equals one cone.

Can you tell me how much toe+camber a early 911 gains in 1.5 inches of bump?
