A while back -- okay so it was a while, while back, someone had the name of a guy that had a two-car transporter that would hire out to deliver cars to events in California. Does anybody still have the name/phone number of this guy? Suggestions would be much appreciated.

That might have been Michael Zois from the Santa Barbara region. I believe he sold the trailer and is no longer in the transport business, but I may be wrong. You can try his email: 356@cox.net

Tom,

I'm sure that's the guy. Thanks for the tip. I'll contact him right away.

Tom's memory was accurate on both counts. Michael was the owner of the transporter and he is no longer in that buseinss.

Thanks again anyway.

I believe one of the Bohorquez brothers had someone else they mentioned in that same old thread who was running a bigger transporter- maybe a 5-car rig? You might try contacting Jim at jimb@mesapower.com

And thank you, Steve, for the book you sent me! I have signed up thru Escrip to support the Family Literacy Foundation.

I have spent a lot of time looking into car transport for my pending car purchase. I came across an outfit that specializes in motorsports: Gold Rush. They do transport and logistics (and now race prep if you want it) for teams like Racer's Group and Kelly Moss. They also do a lot of shipping for Symbolic. So far, they are the least expensive quote I have gotten. Their website is www.goldrushmotorsports.com and the owner races a 935 in vintage races so that bodes well!
