I have been busy since I returned from Laguna last month, but wanted to report back on my experience with them on a big track. I like the tires in the auto-x (the time before last) because the tires heated up quickly but did not get slick as runs went on. This was the same on the big track. I ran 3 20 minutes sessions with these tires and really liked them. I found them to be 3.5 to 4 seconds slower than the Pirelli slicks I ran that weekend though the Dunlops seems to be comparable to the Hooiser's and MPSC when comparing relative times of different cars. The wear was very good considering the tires are in the soft compound league of the Hoosiers. I was running them with some very high camber but it appears tht they would like about 1.5 to 2 degrees in the rear and something comparable in the front. I ran them at 37 and 39 hot with very even wear.
Overall I think this tire is a good alternative to other "drive to the track and race and drive home" types. Much more tread (8/32nds, no shaving requried) and seem to hold up very well. I have run a driving school (about half a school), and an auto-x, 2000 miles on the street, and 60 minutes on a big track and have 5-6/32nds on the rear and 6-7/32nds on the front. Not bad considering.
