If only I didn't have the handbrake on, a full tank of gas and a sandbag in my car
Thanks, Alan! I love it when I can beat up on the newer models. Actually, my '67S does have upgraded (18mm) anti-roll bars from the '74-77 model years, which is a 2 point modification, and aftermarket adjustable spring plates with plastic bushings, which are no points, but make it easier for Steve to corner balance. The car has always been a driver, not a garage queen. It has over 235,000 miles on it and is still very solid.ajackson wrote:I noticed that he beat the time of all of the SS boxters and 996s. That's quite the feat considering he is driving a car (just as it came off the showroom floor) that is 37 years old.
The Falken Azenis in 205/50-15. A great buy at $275 for all four, mounted and balanced at Import Tire. I'm thinking about putting some Kumho 710s on it and see if I can get into the top 10 one of these days with a 2-liter stock car.If I might ask, what tires are you running?
Yah, I noticed! I asked him after the event what got in to him. He was telling me about all his mistakes, but he had to have done a few things right to get the improvements in his times that I've seen lately.Carl Scragg wrote:Has anybody else noticed that Neil is getting faster and faster? He broke into the top 10 and the top 10 BRI. What happens if we give him enough track to make use of those turbos? Nice showing Neil!
