My daughter took the Performance Driving School with me last October as she had only driven this car for an hour before that event. She used to autocross with me occasionally when she was in high school, but that was over 4 years ago and it was a BMW. Last week's autocross was her first autocross since the PDS. I am usually 2-3 seconds quicker than my daughter. This time I was only 4/10 of a second faster. And it took my final timed run of the day to get that margin.
If you have not attended a PDS event, you might consider it. Your driving will improve. After I attended the PDS, I attended a POC event at the infield road course at Auto Club Speedway. I broke the track record for my class by 7/10 a second. Unfortunately another car beat me by 1/10 second, so he ultimately got the record.
