With the temprature approaching 100 at the stadium this week end shorts and t-shirts will be acceptable driving attire at the SundayQDE.

We wouldn't happen to have paid corner workers for the DE do we?? Just thought I would ask, not that I don't relish standing out in 100 degree heat and chasing down Steve G's cones...

Even for the classes that REQUIRE driving suits? Is this a definitive answer?

You mean do you still have to wear a helmet and clothes? I suspect those requirements will remain unchanged. ;)

Unfortunately, I am not sure it actually say clothing is a requirement. We may need to work on that :?

Not many people I want to see walking around naked with a helmet on.

In the classes that require a driving suit, it is up to the person driving. If you feel better in the suit( cool vest, etc) it is your decision. I would rather have people a little more comfortable and cooler than tooo hot.

and the current ax policy is in effect- clothes are optional[/quote]

Now..... Gary, Jeff and I have dealt with the X-car situation pretty fairly this year. 8) In regards to clothing-optional drivers, I'm afraid that would put our drivers in an 'X' class. I don't think we're ready to make decisions about X-drivers.
Please arrive and stay clothed. Sorry, there's no allowing X-drivers at any public event managed by the A-X Team.

Would you make exceptions if the "right" X-driver showed up? For example Danika Patrick has been at 1 or 2 kart races, with her professional driving qualifications would you let her race in X-class?

I think that this is an issue best left to the technical inspectors. They have more time to examine each case more thoroughly.

If Danica shows up in tech line I will take as much time as needed to make sure she is properly equipt for X-driver status.

I have to say that I am appalled at the sexist remarks in this thread. I thought you guys were above all that. :(

PS. Do you have any pictures? :D
