if there was such a car as the 944 suspension/balance plus 911 power-to-weight ratio, I'd be grinning even wider

Uhh, would that be a 987 S?

944 balance 911 power

No that would probably be a 2800 lb 928  Even better if it has a 6.5 liter motor

Although Ethan's FrankenBoxster might be getting close

A 2800 lb. 928 - I think the only way you could get there would be to remove the engine.

At least that would probably keep you out of the power-on oversteer, Greg! :burnout:

Well, Kim, yes and no. After driving the 987 S that Chris H. brought down, I was thoroughly impressed. :D And, although it pushed terribly  , I'm sure with a little tweeking and tuning for the track, it would be a really fun track car.... for one or two events, anyway. :x After that, the repair issues and reliability issues for track would worry me. I'd have to follow in Porsche's own historical footsteps and beef-up the drive-train and suspension to be sure the car could/would handle constantly tracking it. So, with the extra $$ to upgrade to track, why not just invest in a GT-3, and be all set? :?

Now, Greg, on the other hand, has a real idea here.  I say we take a saws-all to one of his 928's and see what comes of it. What do you say, Greg? :?: Want to slide down the slope with Jad and start pulling everything out? I have a saws-all with a "demolition" blade that would be just perfect for the task  . Oh, I could just imagine .... the power, the sound of that V-8, the incredible, nimble handling of a front-engine, rear transaxle racer that puts the lawn-blowin', rear-engine P-cars to shame (kinda like Bill I.'s spanking of the lawn-blowers recently at the A-X's ... in a 4-cyl. water-pumper, no less...  ). So, Greg, when should I come over with the Saws-all?

It is not easy, but Mark Anderson of 928 International has his down to 2675, he is down to 2850 with driver  Ok he is lighter than I am.
See his specs a this link http://www.928trackcars.com/anderson/index-f.htm
He did take out his motor, but only to make it bigger and more powerful, pushing 500 rwhp.
