It is hard to believe that in order to run all day and get more laps in, increasing the cost from $10 to $14 dollars more would be an issue.

Assuming a lunch break and 9 laps at $40 plus $10 surcharge=

$50/9 laps=$5.56/lap

Assuming 12 laps no lunch break at $40 plus $14 surcharge=

$54/12 laps= $4.50/lap

To me it's a no brainer, but I guess it's an issue.

Of course, then it just becomes an issue of getting 14 workers reliably to each event instead of 10.

Good way to look at the numbers, though. And if we didn't have the usual pauses between run groups due to corner switching, maybe we could even get another lap or two in...

$54/13 = $4.15/lap
$54/14 = $3.85/lap

Of course, any increase in per-lap value is probably wiped out by increased wear and tear on the tires. Oh well, the price you pay for having fun.
