Dan, Nice video. Good line around the track and good patience to wait for Mick to open the door for you. Imagine what you could do if your motor wasn't so old and tired. Yes, I am talking about the car motor. :P

Ya, Dan, he seems to be pulling you on the straights pretty well, but you were catching up in the twisties. Was he overdriving the car to stay in front of you? I saw a lot of apexes he missed by a mile, and then that last "moment" on the skidpad when you passed him....

I've got your excuse right here, Mick-- "I was practicing my rain line, just in case some weather rolled in for timed runs." :roflmao:

Looks like you guys had a lot of fun, though. Did you drive the tires off the cars in practice? I see a 1:24 and a 1:25 for you two on Sat. in the results, but only a 1:26 and a 1:28 on Sunday. Besides a bigger motor, you may need a fresh set of rubber for timed runs. No problem--after you spend the $10k on the motor, it's just another $3k for the trailer to bring all the spares...and then the tow vehicle...
Kaaachiiiing!

Thanks Mark and Tom! Yeah, had a few 24's in practice when the rears were new , old fronts. Had a wierd noise from the car on Saturday , was about to call tow truck and started it again and it was fine??.. Steve thought may be chain noise , Ran for short slow session and all was good , then figured I would run timed but didnt think pushing it was a good idea since I needed to drive it home. Besides , I cant compete with a row of stickers ready for timed... :banghead:
Mick has a built 3.2SS with MFI and conservatively 30+HP more than my 13 year old motor. Luckily his rear tires were getting worn....
If I could rebuild my motor for 10k I would do it now...but I may go with euro p&c's and cams to try and keep up... :surr:

It was perfect weather and great fun, it would be great to see you out there Tom!

Thanks Again,
