04/26 Sat Tire Rack Teen Survival school needs volunteers.

Postby MR LIPP on Fri Apr 11, 2014 9:05 pm

BMWCCA needs more instructor help to put on the up and coming Tire Rack Street Survival (TRSS) Teen driving school in two weeks on April 26th(Saturday) at Auto Club Speedway (Fontana) Lot 12.

Do the Michelin day Friday and stay for the Teen Survival day on Saturday! (SEE DETAILS BELOW)

The event is only two weeks away and we are still a few instructors and volunteers short of a full complement to cover the number of kids we have signed up.

We unfortunately have had a few folks cancel and a few drop due to other conflicts in their schedule which has left us short on instructor coverage.

At the moment, we could really use about 6-7 more instructors on Saturday. If you can help out, that would be really helpful and we would be very grateful.

This is your chance to get out there and help make a difference to the new teenage drivers just starting out. By the end of the day, you will see the kids having a good time and admittedly many of us are having fun too seeing the light bulb go on and the smiles on the kids faces.

Please try and make it out for this event on Saturday April 26th and help us make this a positive experience for our new teen drivers.

Please respond as soon as possible to let us know if you can help out.

Thanks in advance

Bill Wade from CCA National has forwarded an invitation to a Michelin driving event out at CA Speedway in connection with our Tire Rack Street survival school. The Michelin deal is on the Friday before, so you folks that are doing the Street Survival School could double your pleasure by going out the day before and trying out Michelin's new rubber. And any of you that have been sitting on the fence about teaching at the TRSS, here's a good incentive to get yourselves out there. Michelin is evidently providing a full day of fun and play on their new A/S product, and will even gift you a $100 to defray gas costs, etc.; if you're from out-of-area, they'll even fly you in and put you up (!!!).

I would suggest that, if you can do this, you jump on it -- and please pay it forward by staying over to teach at the Street Survivial school on Saturday, since extra volunteers are still needed. If you've never done a TRSS, I'd highly recommend it; the level of satisfaction you get from seeing the kids "get it" is well worth your time. I'm miffed that I won't be able to make these two days (working out of town, as usual) but this sounds like a superb opportunity to have some track fun at the expense of someone else's tires :^)) not to mention they are hosting some karting for the participants, as well as feeding you lunch AND dinner! These sort of deals are few and far between.

So get on out there, spend Friday getting your ya-ya's on track, and then the next day, Saturday, pass on your knowledge to possibly save a young driver's life. There are few better ways to share your driving expertise, believe me! Sign up at the link in the message below.

On behalf of Michelin Tires we would like to invite you to experience our newest innovation in Safety,
