Anyone know what precipitated that spin? Looked like he was cooking along just fine, beginning to unwind for the straight, when he suddenly jigged to the right. I couldn't see anything on the track. It was like he sneezed, or spilled his latte, or dropped his Josh Groban CD. Something...

Oil slicks are very hard to spot. I got one in T1 at Cal. Speedway last year with the BMW club. My result wasn't near as dramatic as Glen's, but scary none-the-less.

Looks like the pavement was a little dis-colored right where his left wheels were. Was that dry-sweep? So the oil slick was from a previous session?

Did he hit the wall? If not that is about as close as you can come and get away with it.

Yes, it was from a previous session and he, amazingly, did not hit anything!

That looks like Tim Haenke's Hi-Jack GT3R car...Nice save is right!

Some knuckehead in the HPDE took his Ford Lightning PU into the wall around T10 at the NASA weekend. Airbags and Ambulances...not a good way to end your day.

Wow!
1. I wouldn't call that a save. Watch his front tires. After the inital loss of control, they stay at left lock and locked up. There's no "save" there in my book. He stopped driving the car and was along for the ride. The driver was extremely lucky in this spin.
2. You can see the oil absorbent on the track! Why did he drive through it?! Guess what's under the oil absorbent? OIL!
