Another Chuckwalla Video

A video of Dan C and I playing on worn tires until I decide to attempt a shortcut from turn 6 to 1.

And another view of the same session.

Observe the consistent tail-out driving of a certain Silver Bullet. And, don't get me started with the amount of counter-steer needed to keep up with the old tires. It was around 114-degrees Saturday afternoon, so the tire were a bit taxed …

Too fun!

Saturday practice with a 968 Master. It's always a pleasure sharing the tracks with this guy.

It's going to be a loooong summer without track-time, so I'll be living with the memories ... 8)

You know, others can drive like an orangutan, but usually don't. Here is a session I chose to excercise the hands :burnout:

Jad, This is almost up there with the voodoo video. ( http://youtu.be/5tXClMuePc0 ) Wish we had a better view of your flailing hands. You look very Grosekemper-ish.

Or any less.

I hope you noticed even the Barbie video had a nice drift, they just clearly built the track in the wrong place :surr:

Wow, hand-to-hand combat with your steering wheel... I don't think I've ever seen you drive like that. Can I use that video as a demonstration of "Over-Driving Your Tires" at the DE's? It's a perfect example of pushing too hard. Did you have 60-PSI in your rear tires?

It is not over driving when you do it on purpose to practice sliding and for fun. No attempt at speed was happening, just staying out of Dan and Mick's way.

If you ever needed the ultimate CVR Pro driver in an old 911 video this is it.
Is Pat Long over driving his car and tires? or is he just driving at the limit of his tires?
Quick hands, its perfect car control imho. 8)

Mike, that's a classic video of Pat Long in a early 911. Here's another cool video, I think the early cars like to be driven with the adage "loose is fast" :D https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CvDD8V9Liq8

Nice video Erik! Thats what I call getting on top of the tire.
The steering wheel looks almost disconnected to the car, that driver has car control confidence.
That video and Pat Long's at CVR inspire me to find the limits.
And congrats to Mark for runner up in his 911 at the last AX. 8)

I'm sure you might have seen this one before, GT40 car control in the rain.
