ARE YOU DRIVING TO PARADE IN MONTEREY?



ARE YOU DRIVING UP ON SAT JUNE 14th?

WOULD YOU LIKE SOME COMPANY ON THE JOURNEY?

If the answer to all three questions above is YES …. Please read on.

PCA-SDR Members are planning to have a caravan of Porsches travelling up to Monterey on Sat 14th June Leaving the SW corner of North County Fair (Via Ranch Pkwy) Escondido at 09:00

This is a PCA-SDR sanctioned event, with PCA members & friends travelling together to PCA Parade.

The TENTATIVE plan for the route is as follows:

I-15 North to I-10 West to Pomona

then to 57-N to 210 Foothill Fwy

to I-5N to 46 to Paso Robles

US 101 N to Salinas

Then 68 to Monterey

Google maps estimate is 435 miles ... 6 hrs 45 minutes drive time

Based on this, the initial thinking is

2 suggested en-route breaks for gas/restroom/stretch your legs etc.

First break - after 150 miles to Santa Clarita area at 11:30-ish for 1 Hr. lunch [after 2 ½ hrs drive time]

Second break - after another 170 miles Paso Robles at 3pm-ish for 30 min break [after 5 hrs drive time]

Arrive - the last 115 miles to arrive Hilton Monterey 5:30pm-ish [after 6Hrs. 45mins drive time plus 1 ½ Hr. break]

If you decide to join the caravan, obviously you are welcome to take as many other stops as you choose.

NO RSVP required …. just show up at North County Fair by 08:30 on Sat June 14th.

Please note:

This has been determined by the Board of Directors to be an officially Sanctioned PCA-SDR Event.

What does that change? Well, three things:

1) You will be asked to sign a waiver,

2) you will be given a set of driving instructions showing lunch and gas station breaks and .....

3) you will be given a surprise item for your Porsche which will make your car easily identifiable as a San Diego Region members car so throughout Parade we will immediately recognize our region members.

Remember no RSVP required, just show up at North County Fair in Escondido (Near Romano's Macaroni Grill) NO LATER THAN 08:30 as we DEPART at 9:00
