I like Chris Harris' reviews, and he shows how good a driver he is, hooning those cars around in the wet. The Camaro Z28 is a BIG car, though. At 4400 lbs., it is going to be hard on those soft tires and ceramic brakes. At about half the price of a GT3 up front, though, you would have a lot left over for consumables. Why you would ever buy one over a C7 Corvette escapes me, however, unless you really need a rear seat.

I've always been a manual trans./3-pedal kind of guy, and got tons of satisfaction from matching revs perfectly on downshifts, etc. but after experiencing the software wizardry of the modern PDK transaxle, I doubt I will ever have anything but a dual-clutch automatic in a Porsche again. The "paddle-free zone" is no longer part of my zeitgeist.

Dano I agree to no paddle "torque converter" transmissions.

In your range of 915 trans to paddle trans leaves so many tempting choices.

I would like to downshift a paddle shift DCT deep into trailing throttle oversteer decreasing radius corner.
The new vette needs a dct...

Down shifting a sequential box with clutch is equally rewarding.

Up shifting a dog ring/no syncro H pattern manual trans with no clutch very enjoyable.

Some debate the G50 vs the 915.
So many choices.
