In case any instructors are interested in a helmet intercom system, or spare parts for their existing intercom, Walmart.com has a screaming deal on the Nady PMC-2X.

I know not everyone is a fan of these units because of cable and connector reliability concerns, but at this price, they are practically disposable. I used this model years ago on my motorcycle, and I had decent luck with it.

When I ordered mine last week, they were charging $11.70, so I bought two sets to have a spare. They just arrived, and they look fine (doesn't appear to be trashed, old inventory).

These normally go for $45+ elsewhere (Amazon, etc.).

The club has a dozen chatterboxes that can be used for instructor-student communication in a helmet. I charge them up and bring to every Time Trial but they're in the trailer at other times and usually seem to have a charge left if anyone needs one at an AX. That's even cheaper than Walmart if you don't need one for the road

Even better... it's hard to argue with free!
