Here are today's autocross results:

We were not able to make it today, hopefully it was a fun track. I never saw a track map posted, so I don't know.

nice to be back at an ax
track grew on me during the day, still too many turns, reminded me of hermann tilke
one other thing i noticed, why do we have so many classes? i thought the reason we switched format was to streamline and create more competition.
now its like little league, everybody gets a trophy.
i guess i dont undertstand the need for the ss set of classes

This from a guy who recently said he wished there was still a street tire class for older cars?

We have half the number of classes now then we had back then.

A huge thank you to Jerry and the AX team for a very difficult but fun track. Like Gary says, it grew on me as the day progressed. Thanks also for keeping the day on schedule so my timed session didn't need headlights.

Thank you to all of the volunteers who made Saturday's autocross a success. It was well organized and finished early while there was still good light. It was a tight course with lots of turns and certainly not dull. I enjoyed the run in my new 997S.

I thought this was a great event.
I thought the track was very balanced with the fast front half up the hill for HP cars and the second half twisty and downhill for the older low HP cars.
Top 10 list is the proof; average car age is 18 years old. 1974-2014.
I found myself stuck between gears so I just had to shift early and often.
(Over 15 shifts a lap!)
I was wishing for a set of taller rear tires, 225/45-15’s are a bit on the short side.

i run on street tires in CC03
what i dont understand is why we need a street class for a 2001 boxster

Because bone stock cars need a place to compete.
There are people that want to come out and compete in the stock car they drive to work.
No prep, no mods. just arrive and drive.
That is the middle CC04/SS01.
Let say we both have stock 2001 Boxsters.
If I put on H&R springs I add 30 points get a lower CG, more negative camber and say in class.
maybe I exchange the 205 fronts for 215 or 225's.
Your rally car tires will roll over and only use the outside edge pushing like a pig.
It is not fair for the group that doesn't want to modify their cars.
And SS classes are a national mandate to mirror Parade rules.
