This is regular event of mine. It was great to see a bunch of folks from San Diego.

El-Toro is going away soon. I highly recommend folks do a PCAOCR event to experience what is considered one of the best AX venues in the country. Tons of grip on this surface and it is an SCCA style open course (sparse cones) with PCA speeds. It will make you a better driver because you have no choice but to look ahead. It gets you out of the bad habit of looking at and following a sea of cones.

The track cooled and slowed down on the last timed run group. I ran 71.0 flat back to back in Practice 2 and only managed 71.6 in timed runs. Then I pushed it on the last run to break into the 70's but ended up in a row of cones 2ft before the finish :)

BTW, today's course was considered short and not as fast for PCAOCR. There are normally longer straights, bigger sweepers and longer faster slaloms. I think they shortened if for the morning film crew. We normally get 4,4,4 runs. The film crew cut into our day...
