Congrats to Steve G for his TTOD in a 4 cylinder 914. :beerchug:

We will have to see what a CC03 car would have to do to get BRI when the results are finally posted.
I don't think I would call it easy though, Those GT3's are making me bring my "A" game.
Cant believe I didn't hit any cones...

Either way we will still be throwing another BRI trophy cupcake off the roof of Black Forest... 8)

Great drive Steve! No paddle shifters, small wheels/tires, 4 banger, and a 45 year old suspension layout.... Sweet man!!! Good on you! :beerchug:

Here's a little video from behind the wheel of my best timed lap... I think my confidence in the high-speed curves will be higher once my suspension upgrades are installed.

Watch it on 1080p/60FPS on the YouTube site for best experience :)

Nice video Chris- what device/app/software are you using for the telemetry overlay?
Thanks,
Randy

Looks like Steve put down a great time, I think it would have been a good battle if the Cupcake were there. It's a whole new season with different rules and my car will be quite a bit different; we won't know how I stack up in the BRI until I get it back on the track. Steve, enjoy the cupcake throwing party, I'm flattered...tell me when it is so I can bring cupcakes to celebrate your hollow victory over a car that wasn't even there :beerchug:

I thought from an earlier posting that Cupcake was coming back as a CC04 car?

What's the deal, Adam? Now that Steve moved the 914 down to CC07, his index is pretty low for the times he is running in it. I have to run faster than him on raw time in my SS04 car (on street tires) to beat his indexed time. That ain't going to happen--I will never catch him, plain and simple. :banghead:
A CC04 car would have had to run a 1:25.56 on that course to beat him. Gary Burch won CC04 with a 1:27.72. A CC03 car would have had to run a 1:26.31 to take the BRI. Carl ran a 1:25.61 in a CC06 Boxster to get 3rd, 1.4 seconds behind him. If you come back in CC04, it will be tougher to catch him, unless the Cupcake is considerably faster than it was in CC03. I hope you bring it out again soon, I'd love to see how this plays out. :D

Wow- that's a lot of technology!
Thanks Chris- I'll have to catch you at the next AX...I already have everything except the BT1 and XGPS160, but seem to have bad luck with Harry's Lap Timer. Probably user error!

Lap Timer is a bit finnicky, but once you figure it out, it works pretty reliably. The UI is pretty horrible, though, I think because it tries to pack so much into a small interface. Obviously made by car people, and not UX people.
