edit 4/24/2015-- Looks like my car is sold, but rather than delete this post, since there is discussion relevant to our club classified procedures below, I'll leave it, even though I've cancelled the ad. It might remind people to delete their ads on ad2ad.com when the item is no longer available.
original text:
I just put an ad in the
SDR Classifieds for my 2011 Guards Red Cayman S if anyone is looking for a fun car. I've only had it 11 months and it's set up to autox and win in SS04, and still be a very comfortable daily driver. Email or PM me for full details.

I'm not trying to highjack your post, but since you are talking about the Classified Ads, I wonder if anyone knows why there are ads posted that have been up there for years unchanged and even one ad saying the car was sold but the ad keeps showing up all the time. Is there something wrong or should the ads be purged after a certain amount of time? Do these people still have their cars for sale after all this time?
Here are a few examples:
1980 911SC 142K Miles SOLD 3rd owner; lowered, red, good
condition, $4K recent engine work. Nu Michelins
$10,000. SOLD!
Russ or Melissa 404 4333992 619 540 9030
2001 911 Carera Coupe Jungle green/light tan. Most options,
well maintained, 6 speed, recent rear tires, 70k miles, $35K,
Carlsbad, CA (760) 602-0664
1980 911 SC Original metallic blue, complete exterior
restoration, sunroof, sport seats, A/C, limited slip, interior
perfect, cleanest you will see. $22,000 firm (760) 436-1807
1966 912 coupe big bore, new top end, new interior, new
clutch, steering box, dual mstr cyl, tires. much more (619)
501-7537
There may be more but these are the ads I noticed. Just curious about this (not a big deal).

No problem with the hijack, Ted. I remember seeing an item in the April 2015 Witness from the Board Meeting minutes that said "...Please remember that old ads do not time out. Use the contact list at PCASDR.net to notify Jeff Grow of old classified ads." The ad2ad site says ads will run for 3 months, and there is another function to extend them, but obviously it doesn't work that way.
I always go back in and cancel ads when the item is sold, but apparently people don't always do that and they live on in perpetuity. I know that beside your examples, there has been a "1984 Europ. Spec. 911 Carrera" for sale there for years now. The seller said "Baby coming!" was the reason to sell it. That kid must be in elementary school by now!

Thanks, Craig! The PPI was excellent, we'll see if that results in a sale.
Fingers crossed,

I know this will shock and surprise some of you, but having seen it first hand this past Saturday, I must opine that the "Cayman S replacement" GT3 in white just has to be one of the most fantastic looking (and no doubt performing) cars one could ever see or hope for. Of course we have another SDR Chapter recent GT3 addition: "some sort"

of blue in color. Again: absolutely gorgeous. And you know what is the most beautiful aspect of seeing both cars? Seeing them out on the tarmac pounding out autocross times! Very impressive.
