Here's my fastest timed run, which was also my last lap of the day. I have to say, this is the most fun I've had at an AX in a couple of years. Great track and lots of fun running against Steve G again.

Great video Mark and great battle to the TTOD. But talking about a cheater tire that RE71R you are running there. :D

Here is my video: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x317hwc_pca-sdr-autocross-aug-9th-2015-martin-laptime-1-19-02-2nd-ttod_auto

To change I recorded the laps using my old iPhone with the Harry's Laptimer app. The video seems a bit accelerated after I ran the overlay display compare to the raw video and the laptime is of by about 0.3 sec.

Nice video Mark,
Them are some quick (and busy) hands you have there.
I remember when I used to drive like that!
I have video but still need to edit and post.

Best AX track I have run in the 914 for sure.
Had a great time.
Beating Rondeau... Priceless.

Nice run Steve!
Was the Dieter 914 you had in the early 2000's faster than this car? What happend to that car?

Here is my fastest run from P2 - 1:19.78. Car is perfectly balanced for El-Toro but too loose for Qualcomm. Really loose during timed runs when the heat came out. I will try stiffening up the front bar at the next event.

Robert,
Yes, the old Dieter's 914 was faster. 1850 lbs. with a 911 engine w a torquey 200HP to the ground and 10 and 13 inch slicks.
But it was very WIDE and I think the narrowness of the silver Black Forest car was a huge advantage on this track.

I still have the engine out of that car but I broke the chassis after over 10 years of AX and TT work.
I sold the car to someone who may repair it or use it for parts.
Too much power and stick for that little car and a few really dramatic offs at big tracks was more than it could handle.

Ya, that's the one...
Jad beat you to it huh?
It's all about the competition.

No, Jad likes to post the one where we blow all the dirt out of the exhaust.
Ah, friends...

Actually there is a better one than that.
frame before I think.
Mega phone looks like a civil war canon going off...

Gents, thanks for the videos. I needed a quick fix. It almost made me want to AX  JK :D
Mark, your hands are like a Kung Fu master on crack! Martin always soooo smooth. And Steve...I just wish we didn't require helmets, so everyone could see your hair buffeted by that rocket like acceleration! Hey maybe we can haul some dirt into Qualcomm and recreate that off Big Track experience? Or at least have the corner workers throw some on you when a cone gets smacked. Just saying

Mark & Steve,

Great driving! Great example of how two very different cars can come very close in raw times with two different drivers. I can't wait to get back in the action; rumor has it that the new and improved Cupcake will be in a class near you (if not in your class) so I look forward to some heated competition.
