The registration site for the grand return of the DE & TT series to the track (Chuckwalla, October 24-25) is now available for viewing at:

http://msreg.com/CW1015

Registration opens September 13 at 9:00 am. Given that 1) we have been regularly drawing over 90 participants for Chuckwalla, our most popular track, 2) it'll have been almost 6 months since our club has been to a track, 3) the fall PDS is the week prior to the event, and 4) we will not overfill groups so that we may continue to offer safe, high quality events, we expect overall demand to be at an all-time high which will lead to Waitlisting for those who do not sign up promptly.

As a result, it is suggested that if you would like to attend you should 1) set a calendar reminder for September 13 at 9:00 am so you may register as early as possible, 2) carefully read both pages of the registration site now and ensure that you have completed ALL steps that are required prior to actually registering, 3) ask ASAP any questions you may have so that your registration will be correct and complete, and 4) accurately sign up at 9:00 am on September 13.

Instructors: We would sincerely appreciate if you would sign up early as well so that we can Confirm as many Students as possible, thereby removing uncertainty for as many people as practicable.

Good luck to all.

93 signups as of 6pm Monday... That's got to be a record!
So I am guessing we have some track junkies that need their fix?

We are getting near sold out status, better sign up now or you will miss out.
Qualified instructors are in big demand if you know of any...
We hate to turn students down because we don't have enough instructors.

See you all there!

Gee when I signed up at 9:00 this morning, it was just me, Robert and Jack.
I guess I am safe for an instructor :D

I don't see Dan Hockett there yet - what's up, Dave? I see that Carusillo finally stepped up...

Looking forward to seeing all of you out there.

Phil

Are SA2005 helmets still acceptable for this event?

Yes. SA2005 helmets are good until June 30, 2016.

Zone 8 Rules excerpt:
"All car occupants must wear a Snell approved helmet (SA, SAH, K or M),
which has the current available Snell rating or the one previous Snell rating.
Expiring helmets shall be acceptable until June 30 of the year after the new
standard"

Yes, where is Dan H? Are the Boxster bros no longer since Dave has a Cayman now?

Looked at the list, there will be a Cayman GT4 there, cool!

I text Danny but he is lollygagging. I expect he will register today and as an instructor Robert will probably keep a spot for him. Wow Chuckie is getting bigger than CFOS.

If anyone gets bumped and needs some track time, PCA-GPX is doing our Day Away from work DE at Streets of Willow Mon. Oct. 5th. No timing this year so expanded open lapping sessions!

Ok, I"m in. Adam and Craig provided some pull, since I've been itching' to spend my drive money on a Lemons ride instead...but now that Dan mentions it, I've never gotten to catch the parking lot jam band. I'm a hack guitar player, but what's the skill level requirement for this illustrious super group? You guys know Stairway??? ;) (Everyone points to sign overhead: "No Stairway.")

Bring your axe Keith, we are all hack musicians out there. Some have just been hacking longer than others. It is a very informal blues/oldies jam on easy stuff we all know. This is not a cutting contest for "Who's got talent" so if you can play 10 chords, keep time, and know a few convincing riffs you will fit right in. I will bring a powered wedge and small mixer with plenty of inputs. You can go "direct" with a Pod or Sansamp, or bring a small cheap practice amp. Think low key campfire jam session with friends. Maybe Jamie Fingland will sit-in for a few as well.

Danny Boy is now registered so the Beer Wagon is inked. :beerchug:
