Chuckwalla Videos

Thanks to Robert and Jack for running another stellar event. Huge turnout, well behaved drivers, minimal drama and a live band on Saturday night! Congrats to Jad for some incredible driving at his favorite track. Extra thanks to Steve G for restoring the Silver Bullet to her former glory, to the 911SG team for a great weekend and to Dan Man Down and all the track rats for the great card. What has been seen, can not be unseen!

Here's the video of my timed runs. 225's all around and 200 tread wear. Tires appear to only be good for one track event. YMMV. :burnout:

Here's one of my practice video's from Saturday. Spoiler alert! It ends with a nice slide off at turn 3 as the tires decided they'd had enough for the day.

Wow, if you hadn't screwed up your second timed lap, you may have had a half way decent time :P

Still don't think it would have been enough to catch you in BRI. :banghead:

O.K., Mark seems lonely on this post, so I'll play.

After messing with the "little red street car" for months, I think I'm finally close to dialing in the right combination of suspension, engine, aero, and tires, to the point where it can run close to the same pace as the original "Fireball".

Sorry, no Rondeau-esq slides in this video (but I think Mark is a prime candidate to move on to RALLYCROSS...) :burnout:

Her is Steve's timed laps on old Hoosiers that did not like sitting for several months, he worked very hard to make them stick as much as they did :surr:

Timed runs: https://youtu.be/jcyH5_LPk6s

Car is geared a little low and had to ride the rev limiter on the straights before turn 6 and turn 16. Otherwise would've beat the Boxster's best time handily.

Thanks to Mark for taking the trouble to "slow-down" his car a bit for the rest of us

Those are some very special cylinder head nuts. I'm not sure they make the car faster though. :roflmao:

Here is a Saturday late afternoon practice session with a 250# student (for ballast & balancing). I forgot to record my timed runs! :banghead:
