This month's Windblown Witness cover is such a great picture. Being an original-paint-kind-of-fella, I love the degradation between the neglected metal work (paint) and the more resilient-to-weather glass of the headlamps. Further, the photo really accentuates the dead center bend of that windshield which is so so so cool. Great photo John Straub and great choice to Greg or whomever pushed for this example to be used as the cover photo. Viva old untouched metal.

Yes, John's car looks good
but
IMO i prefer the photo of Javier's former 993 Ruf Turbo R on the previous cover.

Thanks Matt!! I appreciate your comment about the cover!
This was a friends early '53 and I shot it up in Carmel, CA.
He has since sold the car to someone down in the Palm Springs area (for more than anyone would think). From what I understand the new owner is going to keep it just how it is, without restoring it.
It's cool to see how these unrestored cars are being valued as for what they are.

Beautiful shot, John. I just noticed how the moss on the roof of the house in the background matches the patina of the car--both have been "well lived-in."
Bravo,
TT
