Proposed AX and PDS 2016 Dates

Postby mtcurran on Tue May 17, 2016 10:21 pm

Hello All,
Site: San Diego Qualcomm Stadium.
After meeting today with the Stadium Authority, the BMW Club, the SCCA, and the SD Kart Club, we secured dates for the remainder of the 2016 season for the PCASDR to be used as our Club sees fit. These dates may be used by our Club for AXs, PDSs, or Instructor Days. These are tentative dates that require PCASDR Board's approval. I will meet with the Board on June 1st., determine which of the following dates will be used for what event, and request final approval. For now, you can put these dates on your calendar and arrange your vacations around them. Any questions or concerns, please contact me anytime.
Best regards,
Mark T. Curran
PCASDR Autocross Chairman

Very cool.

I assume the consecutive dates (Sept. 24-25 and Oct. 22-23) are the targets for the PDS?

My father is planning on making it out from NJ for the fall PDS again and is bringing my brother-in-law along.

They are starting to hound me for dates to get travel plans set.

Thanks Mark!

Hi Ryan,
That is correct. The actual date of the PDS will be decided at the June 1st PCASDR Board meeting along with approval of the dates I have secured with the Stadium for AXs. I will post the approved schedule here that evening. Hopefully your Father can wait until June 2nd to make his travel plans. By the way, this is the earliest we've met with the Stadium Authority. Typically the meeting is in June.
Kind regards,
Mark

Hey Mark-

Is there an update yet on which of these dates the Board approved for the 2nd 1/2 of the year? The July and August proposed dates (above) are on the pcasdr.org Upcoming Events > Autocross Page, but I dont see the PDS or other dates yet.

Thanks!
