Great PCASDR event again -- thanks to Katie K and the whole crew for showing up, volunteering, and just generally being cool!

Special shout-out to our own Mike Gagan driving the #10 Camaro, and John Straub, his sidekick/Crew Chief, for putting on a heck of a show. Gagan started DFL in the first feature race, and made it to 2nd before running out of laps hunting down first place! He was gaining between 3 and 4 seconds a lap and just needed one or two more. I wasn't able to stay for the second feature race, but on the SVRA app, it looked like he won that one pole-to-pole. Great job guys!

Bummer! :(

http://www.svra.com/news/constructio...peed-festival/

CONSTRUCTION FORCES CANCELLATION OF 2017 CORONADO SPEED FESTIVAL
NOVEMBER 10, 2016 BY SVRA
Notice was received that the Coronado Speed Festival at North Island Naval Base cannot take place in 2017. The Naval Base Coronado XO cited that due to ongoing runway/taxiway repairs and construction projects, the Naval Base Coronado would not be able to support the event.
“I cannot articulate how much this event resonates within me personally, and throughout the racing community,” said Tony Parella, SVRA President and CEO. “We are hopeful and optimistic that we may continue the Coronado Speed Festival’s great racing traditions in 2018.”
