Congratulations Jad on TTOD for the Buttonwillow Time Trial.

I appreciate you riding with me during my first session since it was my first time at the track. Your guidance helped me post a 2:03.47 in the Cayman R. Not too shabby. The car has more in it. Let's see if I can find it :D I was conservative during the timed runs with my braking distances because I didn't have enought clean laps during the weekend to refine the braking locations. Too much traffic in yellow.

Thanks to Robert, Jack, and team for another great time trial and time trial season.

Now, if someone could just do something about the LA traffic going to / from Buttonwillow. :surr:

Andrew

It was a great fun weekend and another well run event by Robert and Jack

Cool watching the club race, especially with the off road activities

year, traffic sucked going home, but I did get a bunch of point by's :burnout:

Thanks and nice driving. Maybe next time we will have time for a couple more session, though a 2:03 is moving that Cayman around quite nicely :beerchug:

Thanks Robert and Jack!

Instead of fixing the traffic, lets just get a nice track in San Diego :banghead:

Nice work Jad!

We definitely need a San Diego Local track!!

I saw Randy Pobst and Rob Phillips running 1:46 and 1:47s on Saturday. What were they driving? Rob was driving his GT-2 class 996 Cup car?

Randy was in a twin turbo Cayman beast, until the transmission split open :banghead:

Thanks Jad. Those speeds make me think about getting in a Cup car.

A Cup Car would be crazy! My 1:51 was a pretty solid lap, but I think a 'perfect lap' would be in the 1:49's, and that is a 996 with stock engine (287 hp at wheels), stock tranny, stock brakes, 295/245 R7 tires. A Cup Car on slicks would be WAY faster. Probably almost too fast for my tastes, the risk/reward equation for a hobby is hard to justify for me but it would be very cool to see what you could do in a car like that... :burnout:
