Would the awesome member/instructor who, at the fall PDS, volunteered to rebuild the fire extinguisher box please contact me (my forum name @yahoo.com will work). If I recall correctly, you said you built it in the first place! Thank you!!!! That thing took a BEATING for 10+ years before the bottom literally dropped out. Being dragged across the Q pavement for 10 years probably wasn't good for it...

Many thanks!
Keith

Might I humbly suggest some caster wheels on it this time.........shod with TOYO racing tires?

Tim,
Caster wheels would be helpful moving it around the parking lot for sure, but then it would be a pinball in the back of the trailer, and a missile in the back of the pickup with the tailgate down (given our drivers' love of acceleration). Some race rubber on the bottom would ensure no one slid it very far across the parking lot for sure! On the other hand, the wood bottom went for 10+ years, so it outlasted any sticky tire I've seen in the Q parking lot... :roflmao:

You might want to look at off the rack options-

Would need to check size of the extinguishers for fit

I noticed that three fire extinguishers fit nicely into one of the corner working buckets and are easier to move about than the heavily loaded wooden box.. consider the benefits of changing your continuing use of the big box.

Really good input! Thanks! That box ,when fully loaded, was definitely a 2 person job. The flip side, the box does help with trailer space (which is a premium), since its smaller than 3-4 buckets. Hmmm, pros/cons to both.
